Professional Development Classes

Classes will be offered throughout the 2016-2017 school-year and range in credit worth from one hour to six hours.  Classes will cover a variety of content areas.  To register for a class, select the event and click the registration tab.  Information regarding the class will be found in the description link.  Upon completion of the class, your facilitator will send a certificate to participants that they will use as their documentation for credit.

Professional Development Courses and Cohorts

Courses are semester long professional development opportunities with up to 9 credit hours available.  Sessions are directed by Sullivan County educators and offer instruction in a variety of focus areas such as: Questioning, Feedback, Presenting Instructional Content/Lesson Structure and Pacing, Environment/Motivating Students/Expectations, Literacy, and Google. Meetings will offered both as site based and online.  Hours will be awarded based on attendance, participation, and assignments.  Registration is required at the beginning of each semester.  Once a course begin each semester, additional registries will not be accepted.

 

Cohorts are year long professional development opportunities with up to 18 credit hours available.  Sessions are facilitated by Sullivan County educators and offer instruction in a variety of focus areas such as: PreK- 2 Math, 3-5 Math, CTE, Guidance, Music/Chorus, Band, PE, Librarians, SPED, Speech, Sciences 6 – 12.  Meetings will offered both as site based and online.  Hours will be awarded based on attendance, participation, and assignments.  Registration is required for cohorts.  Interested individuals may join a cohort at any point during the year.
