Rock Springs Elementary School is fortunate this year to have a school-wide Title I program. The goal of the Title I program is a high-quality education for every child. Title I is the largest federal aid program for our nation’s schools and it funds additional resources in an effort to provide every student with the opportunity to meet the challenging academic standards needed to be successful in school. The flexible funding may be designated for additional instructional staff, professional development, extended-time programs, and other strategies for raising student achievement and ensuring students’ access to scientifically-based instructional strategies and challenging academic content. Families and school staff are equal partners in decisions that affect children and families in the educational process. The partnership of parents, educators, and students assures that each child has access to learning opportunities that support their success in school. Therefore, your input is greatly valued and encouraged in the process of creating policies, practices, and programs. I encourage you to support your child’s education and communicate with your child’s teacher(s) on a regular basis. Through a strong partnership, we can provide every child with an optimal educational experience.
